To receive SchoolMessenger notifications, you must create and manage your own contact profile.
Account Setup Instructions
- Visit the KV website and navigate to:
Staff Hub → Staff Skylert (SchoolMessenger) Login
- Click the Sign Up link at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your school email address and create a password, then click Sign Up.
- If you already have an account, select Forgot Password instead.
- Check your email and click the verification link. (Note: The link expires after a limited time.)
- Log in using the credentials you just created.
- When prompted to confirm your phone number, select Yes from the drop-down menu and click Save.
- Click the three-line menu (☰) in the upper-left corner and select Preferences.
- If Preferences does not appear, log out and back in. It may take a few successful logins before the option becomes available.
- Under My Contact Information, configure your notification preferences for:
- Your phone number
- Your email address
Save your changes after updating each section.
- When all preferences have been updated, click Save at the bottom of the page.
Your account is now set up. Whenever you need to update your contact information, simply return to the KV website and repeat Step 1 to access your account.

Parents and Staff with Children Enrolled at KV
Your contact information is managed through Skyward Family Access.
- Log in to Family Access.
- Select the Skylert tab on the left side of the screen.
- Add or update your:
- Phone numbers for voice calls
- Email addresses
- Mobile numbers for text messages
- Click Save after making any changes.
You can update your contact preferences at any time.
Staff Without Skyward Accounts or Children in District
You must be added to the notification system manually.
